SequalFX Review: Legit Broker or Just Another Scam?

About me
Table of Contents
Today, we’re looking at yet another scam broker that offers users “Trade without Limits” as a way to achieve success in trading currency pairs, cryptocurrencies, and other assets. It even claims to know exactly what traders need for that: ultra-tight spreads, fast order execution, the best trading tools, and more. However, attractive promises should not be taken at face value. Here, users may end up permanently losing their money without gaining either profits or any useful trading knowledge and skills from their experience with this fraudulent platform. Why are we so confident about this? Our SequalFX review provides a detailed answer to this question.
Does SequalFX Show Any Risk Factors?
Choosing a reputable broker ensures comfortable trading conditions and a reasonable level of security for both trading and non-trading operations. What distinguishes such a platform from a fraudulent project? First and foremost, it operates fully within the law and has a solid reputation among the trading community. In our sequalfx.com review, we began our investigation by checking whether the company meets these basic criteria.
The first thing we established was whether SequalFX had an official registration. The website footer states that the broker operates under the management of a company with the same name, registered in Saint Lucia under No. 2025-00612.
A search of the official registry confirmed this information: Sequal FX LTD was registered as an IBC (International Business Company) under the number listed on the website on August 20, 2025. The company also took care to renew its registration for the entire 2026 year by paying the required fee in December 2025. For optimists, this may sound like good news and could suggest that the platform operates legally.
We also checked whether the company holds a license from the local financial regulator, the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA). However, we could not find the company in any of the regulator’s lists of regulated entities. This simply means that the company does not intend to provide services to clients in Saint Lucia or the surrounding region. Therefore, we can reasonably conclude that SequalFX is an offshore broker providing services to international traders in accordance with the laws of Saint Lucia, where such international activities are not regulated or licensed by local authorities.
Let’s start with the Home Page. First, while promoting the MetaTrader 5 terminal, the broker mentions more than 50 million traders from 120 countries worldwide. It’s a good thing that we read the text carefully and realized that these figures refer specifically to MT5. A visitor who only skims the pages could easily assume that these numbers represent the company’s own performance. With such impressive figures, the broker would undoubtedly rank among the leading Forex/CFD brokers. And some readers may indeed interpret the information that way.
The platform describes its own activity using much more modest figures: 520,000 completed trades (on the homepage), services available online since 2018 (on the About Us page), and more than 10,000 active clients (also on the About Us page). Now let’s do some simple math: 520,000 trades over eight years equals just over 65,000 trades per year. This means that each registered trader completed an average of 6.5 trades per year, or traded slightly more often than once every two months. Apparently, the company only selects the most patient and conservative clients. It is hardly surprising that its audience is dozens of times smaller than those attracted over the same eight-year period by well-known regulated brokers.
We have serious doubts about that, and the questionable statistics are not the only reason. Let’s recall that the company claims the project has existed since 2018, while the legal entity itself was registered only in August 2025. At the same time, the sequalfx.com domain, where the platform’s website is hosted, was registered on August 4, 2025.
The Web Archive snapshots show that the website only became fully operational in 2026. Meanwhile, the first sequalfx.com review on Trustpilot appeared just 10 days before we began our investigation of the project, on August 10, 2026. This means that more than six months passed between the registration of the company and domain and the platform’s actual appearance online. Did it really take that long to develop the website? Or was the broker operating under a different name and through another website during that period? We do not have an answer to these questions, but the very fact that they arise is certainly a worrying signal.
Let’s Break Down the Jurisdiction
Saint Lucia has been regaining popularity in recent years as a hub for the rapid launch of offshore Forex/CFD brokers and prop-trading platforms. One of the main triggers behind this trend was the tightening of regulations in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, where, since 2023, the SVGFSA has required brokerage/dealing companies to provide copies of licenses obtained in other jurisdictions when registering.
The country operates under the “Ex-CARICOM” principle: brokers/dealers registered there as IBCs (International Business Companies) can provide services to clients worldwide without restrictions, while such activities are not regulated or licensed locally. Licensing is required only if a company intends to actively serve residents of Saint Lucia and other CARICOM countries. The relevant authorities are the local financial regulator, the FSRA (Financial Services Regulatory Authority), and the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank, which oversees financial services in 8 of the 15 Caribbean Community countries.
IBCs operating under the Ex-CARICOM model are, in practice, subject to very few requirements beyond the timely payment of registration and renewal fees. In particular, they are not required to:
- Maintain a minimum capital reserve in Saint Lucian banks to guarantee the execution of client orders.
- Participate in compensation schemes (such government-backed mechanisms are not available in the country) or purchase professional indemnity insurance.
- Regularly publish the results of external audits of their brokerage activities.
- Impose any specific restrictions on trading conditions, including leverage limits or rules governing bonuses and promotional campaigns.
There is another important point to consider. Tier-1 banks generally work with companies registered in Saint Lucia only when those companies can provide evidence of regulation or have substantial capital. In practice, among the dozens of offshore Forex/CFD brokers established in this jurisdiction, only a handful have accounts with major international banks. Therefore, claims that client funds are held in segregated accounts at leading financial institutions should not be taken at face value without supporting evidence. This is especially relevant because IBCs providing brokerage/dealing services are not subject to any specific local requirement to maintain segregated client accounts.
What Does the Sequalfx.com Website Reveal?
To be honest, the broker’s official website left us somewhat disappointed. The web designers clearly made an effort to create an attractive presentation, and they were partially successful: the color combinations are well-chosen, font sizes generally make the text easy to read rather than limiting the page to oversized headings, and the use of animations and images does not overwhelm the layout.
However, all of this fades into the background as soon as we look at the website’s performance. For reasons that are unclear to us, the pages load extremely slowly, especially the homepage. And there are only seven of them. If there were two or three dozen pages, would a visitor arriving in the morning have to wait until evening for the website to finish loading?
However, this is not even the biggest problem. The work of the content managers can hardly be described as anything other than a complete failure. It would be difficult to find a less informative website than SequalFX. No, there is certainly plenty of text on the pages, and it even tells visitors how fortunate traders are to have chosen this platform. But will any of it actually be useful to users?
- Will traders be satisfied with the complete lack of information about available markets and trading instruments? Hardly. Most potential clients want to know the details of a broker’s trading conditions before registering. Contract specifications would obviously be helpful here. For some reason, however, the website creators have chosen not to publish them.
- Will visitors appreciate the absence of even basic information about deposit and withdrawal methods, processing times, limits, and fees? Definitely not. Yet their opinion seems to be of little importance to the company. Could it be because the platform’s owners are not actually planning to make payments to clients?
- Will potential clients appreciate an approach where the most important information about the company is simply not published? The About Us page contains little more than a story about the company starting in 2018, along with the rather meaningless Our Mission, Our Vision, and Core Values sections. More important information, such as banking details, financial statements, information about client-fund insurance, etc., is nowhere to be found. Why such an attitude toward traders’ basic information needs?
- The website also falls short when it comes to educational materials. The only actual resource available is a cTrader Guide, even though the page promises users at least a dozen tutorials. There is no market analysis either — not even a news feed or an economic calendar. It almost seems as though the platform’s owners are concerned that clients with access to more information might become consistently profitable, which would obviously conflict with the company’s interests.
This becomes even more apparent when you try to register, create, and fund a trading account. The registration form initially requires only your full name, date of birth, and contact details. An account is created immediately after submitting the form and confirming the email address. There are no documents to review and sign and no additional personal information is required at this stage.
Well, there is one exception: you will eventually have to provide your address and submit documents to verify your identity, address, and payment information. However, all of this can apparently be postponed during registration and completed later, when you decide to request a withdrawal. You can fund the account and start trading without going through these procedures. Somehow, we doubt that this is what a standard KYC process is supposed to look like.
Is the Broker Offering Fair or Risky Terms for Traders?
What will a trader see when trying to understand the conditions under which they will have to trade on this platform? They certainly will not find any contract specifications, so they will have to make do with the limited information provided on the account types page.
Unfortunately, there is very little information that traders actually need. For each account, we can essentially find only the minimum deposit and spread size. The maximum leverage of 1:500 is also mentioned, but it applies to all accounts.
So, SequalFX offers clients four account types:
- Islamic. According to the broker, this account is suitable for long-term trading across all available financial markets. The minimum deposit is $25, while spreads start from 1.0 pip.
- Pro. With a $500 deposit, traders are promised an additional professional level of order execution and spreads starting from 0.8 pips.
- ECN. With a $2,000 deposit, clients can supposedly access ideal conditions for high-volume trading, with spreads starting from 0.0 pips.
- Zero Scalper. The account’s characteristics are only slightly different from those of the ECN account, but it is supposedly optimized for scalping. The minimum deposit is $1,000.
The company provides no other important trading parameters. The website contains neither swap rates for the Pro, ECN, and Zero Scalper accounts, nor position-size limits, nor Margin Call/Stop Out levels. In practice, SequalFX conceals all the key trading conditions, meaning that potential clients cannot assess either the possible profitability or the risks before creating an account.
At the same time, company representatives talk about low commissions across all trading accounts. Quite a statement, especially considering that the broker and traders may have completely different ideas about what “low” actually means. This may be precisely why the website does not provide specific figures: perhaps its creators are afraid that users will change their minds about registering after seeing the actual costs.
Technical Support Analysis of SequalFX
What will a broker’s client find on the Contact Us page of the official website? The picture is fairly predictable: contact details are provided, but there are plenty of questions surrounding them. The page contains:
- A contact form.
- A support email address.
- A telephone number with a Saint Lucia country code.
- An office address, which is also presented as the company’s registered address.
At first glance, this may look perfectly fine. However, presenting a virtual address shared by dozens of companies as an office address is hardly reassuring. The same applies to a telephone number that appears to be associated with multiple brokers in Saint Lucia.
There is also an online chat on the website. However, we were unable to get a response from an operator. In short, SequalFX does not appear to have a particularly reliable system for resolving traders’ issues promptly.
Strengths and Weaknesses
- The minimum deposit is just $25. A trader who decides to try this broker can at least limit the potential loss to a relatively small amount.
- The company’s official registration is confirmed. The registration information published on the broker’s website matches the records in the Saint Lucia registry.
- The IBC has no brokerage license. The company can legally provide services only to traders who independently find the website and choose to register with the broker.
- The website contains unreliable information. For example, the developers provide questionable claims about when the project was established.
- Trading conditions are almost completely concealed.
- Non-trading operations are also poorly documented. The website does not adequately explain the terms and procedures for deposits and withdrawals.
- There are still very few reviews. Moreover, all of them appear to have been commissioned and paid for by the company’s administration.

Every newcomer is assigned a manager here. In itself, that might seem reasonable if SEQUALFX were focused on long-term cooperation with its clients. However, that does not appear to be the case: the company allegedly uses inexperienced traders to generate profits for itself. The same thing happened to me: all the trading recommendations resulted in my deposit being wiped out, while I TRUSTED the company’s employees and assumed they were professionals. Now they refuse to accept any responsibility, and all the blame has been put on me. SCAMMERS! Never send them money – you will lose it!
